Who we are

IAM Roadsmart West Sussex

West Sussex Advanced Motorcyclists was founded in 1999 and is a registered charity affiliated to IAM RoadSmart.

We are a group of about 200 keen motorcyclists who share a desire to enjoy riding our bikes progressively but safely and encouraging others to do the same.

Our aims

  • To promote road safety by training riders to pass the IAM test through the Advanced Rider Course
  • To maintain an active social side with monthly meetings,  Nosh Nites, group ride-outs, weekend and longer  trips, guest speakers and workshops including slow maneuvering skills and bike maintenance.

The club is run entirely by dedicated volunteers who love riding motorbikes. The Course is provided by our volunteer, highly skilled and qualified Observers who work with trainees one to one, gradually improving their skills through mentoring and coaching.

Our membership is small enough to be friendly but large enough to be effective. We come from a variety of riding backgrounds and interests, from long distance touring  through off-roading to peg scraping.

Where we meet.

Dialpost Village Hall, on the A24, RH13 8NJ on the second Sunday morning of each month (except Easter, Remembrance Sunday and Mothers day).

Come along from 10.30, you will be very welcome.
